We put a lot of time and love into the animals we raise, and the buying process of our customers is just as important. If you do not find the answers to your questions below on how this works, please feel free to call us and we will do our best to answer any questions or concerns.
Where to Buy
We can be found at the Nacogdoches Farmer's Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month from February through November. We always come stocked with what we have but your best bet is to order online beforehand to ensure we have what you want. Follow us on FB because from time to time something comes up.
On-line shopping is another option and you can pay on-line using any of the supported payment methods or choose the cash option and pick-up at our Rural Reverie in Carthage (Our Homestead) or at the Nacogdoches Farmer's Market.
You can pay anyway you like at the homestead or market; cash, check and most credit cards are accepted.
Buying on the Whole or Half
We offer whole and half options on our meat products at a discounted rate compared to purchasing individual selections. The half purchase discount is about 10%, and the whole purchase discount is about 15%. Each requires a deposit paid in advance, with the remainder due upon transfer. We will walk you through a cut sheet allowing you to customize your order, and will be in contact with you during this process. Your final amount due is based upon the number of pounds you actually receive, finished weight not on hanging weight, plus any additional customization.
We choose to sell our meat by finish weight because it is transparent for the novice customer. Please research the difference between finish, hanging, and hoof weights so you don't end up getting dooped by marketing ploys!
Buying À La Carte
We prioritize whole and half orders but from time to time we have abundance resulting in individual selections. Please remember, we are a homestead so supplies may be limited.
Orders can either be picked up at the farm or at market.
In support of our military and veterans, we offer a 5% discount. Please let us know if you qualify.
Returns & Refunds
We cannot accept returns or offer refunds on meat products after transfer of ownership has occurred. Customers may inspect the product upon transfer at which time issues or concerns will be addressed. However, please contact us if there are any problems, questions, or concerns that we can address.
